Southern California Edison brings two boiler towers down

Southern California Edison brought the two towers down at 7 a.m. during a controlled demolition at Mountainview Generating Station. Charges were placed around each structure designed to blast inward, said Steve Conroy, spokesman for Southern California Edison.

Two decommissioned boiler towers fell to the ground Wednesday morning after booming explosions were heard for miles in all directions.
