Ateneo Blue Eagles win over FEU Tamaraws, 65-62; achieve rare grand slam feat in UAAP

Ateneo Blue Eagles emerged triumphant as they obtained a rare three-peat championship against the FEU Tamaraws, 65-62, in Game 2 of the Best of Three series in the 2010 UAAP Finals of Men's basketball tournament. The game was witnessed by almost 18,000 crowd in the Araneta Coliseum as the Blue Eagles swept the Tamaraws 2-0. Ryan Buenafe hit a three-pointer in the last 20 seconds of the game to increase their lead to five, 64-59.

It was a total team effort by the Ateneans as they became the fifth team to get a rare grand slam feat. The other four teams were UE, DLSU, UST and FEU. It was a double celebration for Ateneo as their junior team also captured a rare grand slam which was led by the Finals MVP Kiefer Ravena, the son of former PBA Rookie of the Year Bong Ravena.
