Anthony Smith will be hoping to get back to winning ways following a dismal run of two consecutive losses. It all began with the title fight against Jon Jones at UFC 235. Before that, Smith had beaten the likes of Rashad Evans, Shogun Rua, and Volkan Oezdemir to earn himself the title shot. Anthony Smith was outclassed by Jones in the fight and the former succumbed to a lopsided unanimous decision loss. However, Smith immediately bounced back with a huge win over former title contender Alexander Gustafsson but since then, dropped a couple more fights against Glover Teixeira and Aleksandar Rakic.
Devin Clark will step inside the Octagon at the UFC Apex this weekend for the biggest fight of his career. A win against Anthony Smith this weekend could propel Clark's career to greater heights. He is 6-4 in the UFC but on a good run of form with back-to-back unanimous decision wins over Dequan Townsend and Alonzo Menifield. The four fights that Clark did drop inside the Octagon were against Alex Nicholson, reigning champion Jan Blachowicz, Aleksandar Rakic, and Ryan Spann.
In the US, the preliminary card for UFC Fight Night: Smith vs. Clark will begin from 4:00 pm ET on November 28, Saturday and the main card starts from 7:00 pm ET.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship knew who to call when the need arose: Paul Felder. The Roufusport standout will serve as a short-notice replacement for Islam Makhachev when he battles former undisputed lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos in the UFC Fight Night 182 headliner on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. A rising star in the 155-pound weight class, Makhachev withdrew with a staph infection on Nov. 8. Felder, 35, last fought in February, when a split decision loss to Dan Hooker had him discussing the possibility of retirement. That line of thinking takes a backseat for now, as “The Irish Dragon” looks to improve upon his 9-5 record inside the Octagon. Dos Anjos, meanwhile, finds himself on the rebound after back-to-back defeats to Leon Edwards and Michael Chiesa at 170 pounds. Despite his four-year stay at welterweight, the 36-year-old Rafael dos Anjos remains one of the most accomplished competitors in UFC history at 155 pounds.

LAS VEGAS -- Two former UFC title challengers will look to strengthen their cases for a second championship attempt when light heavyweights Thiago Santos and Glover Teixeira collide at UFC Fight Night on Saturday at the Apex.
Santos (21-7) will be making his first appearance since he came up short in a split-decision loss to Jon Jones in their title fight at UFC 239 in July 2019. Santos tore the ACL, MCL, PCL and meniscus in his left knee during the loss. He has been sidelined the past 16 months because of the injuries and delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Teixeira (31-7) is enjoying something of a career renaissance at age 41, as he's riding a four-fight win streak. Teixeira also came up short in a title bid against Jones in 2014, but he is putting together a somewhat unexpected second run at a UFC championship.

Anderson Silva has cemented himself as one of the greatest fighters to ever set foot in the UFC Octagon, without question. This Saturday night in Las Vegas, Silva will battle in his final UFC bout when he takes on Uriah Hall in the main event of UFC Fight Night at 7:00 PM EST.
Silva was famously dominant as middleweight champion from October 2006 to July 2013, defending the title successfully 10 times while also making a number of successful trips up to light heavyweight. As is often the cruel reality in combat sports, when things fall off, they fall off quickly. Silva was knocked out by Chris Weidman in 2013 and had his leg snapped in half in the rematch later that year.
All told, after a 17-fight winning streak, Silva has gone 1-6 since the first Weidman fight. There was one other win in that period, a decision over Nick Diaz, that was overturned after a failed Silva drug test. Silva's legacy, already complicated by occasionally frustrating championship performances that left UFC president Dana White stewing, took another hit through the failed test.

UFC Fight Night. The UFC 254 main event will feature one of the most highly anticipated fights of the year, with interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje meeting world champ Khabib Nurmagomedov. Gaethje has won four straight, including three first-round finishes, while Nurmagomedov (28-0) looks to remain undefeated. Middleweights Robert Whittaker and Jared Cannonier will square off in the co-main event. Nurmagomedov (28-0, 12-0 in the UFC) will be looking to unify his lightweight championship against interim belt holder Justin Gaethje (22-2, 5-2 UFC) on Saturday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates -- in an event that will happen in the afternoon, U.S. time (pay-per-view main card at 2 p.m. ET).

Top featherweights square off with a title shot at stake, as Brian Ortega faces The Korean Zombie in a UFC Fight Night headliner at "Fight Island". In one of the most highly anticipated bouts in the latter half of 2020, No. 2-ranked Brian Ortega battles No. 4-ranked "The Korean Zombie" Chan Sung Jung from "Fight Island" at the Flash Forum in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. UFC president Dana White has said whoever emerges victorious will net a featherweight title shot against champion Alexander Volkanovski.

The Kiwis are taking over Fight Island.
On Sunday, UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya puts his title on the line against unbeaten challenger Paulo Costa in the main event of UFC 253. But Adesanya won't be the only New Zealander to step inside the octagon, with Kai Kara-France, Brad Riddell and Shane Young – all part of Auckland's City Kickboxing stable – also on the card.
No 7-ranked flyweight Kara-France will take on No 9-ranked Brandon Royval in his first appearance on the main card of a pay-per-view (meaning his fight goes behind the paywall). Rising lightweight contender Brad Riddell will look to add another loss to the impressive 21-2 record of Brazil's Alex da Silva in the main fight of the preliminary card, while featherweight Shane Young makes his first appearance since last February, welcoming the UFC's first Slovakian fighter Ludovit Klein to the promotion earlier on the prelims.

After years of trash talk, Colby Covington and Tyron Woodley will face off Saturday night. The former teammates meet in the main event of UFC Fight Night from the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas.
Covington (15-2) took a seven-fight winning streak into his most recent fight, a title shot against bitter rival and welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. Covington would lose the fight by fifth round knockout after a war that ranked among the sport's best battles in 2019. He has been out of action for nine months and now looks to get right against former champ Woodley.
Woodley (19-5-1) lost the welterweight title to Usman via lopsided decision two fights ago. That loss was followed up with another disappointing loss, with Gilbert Burns outworking Woodley in May. Woodley has promised to let his hands go against Covington after trading words through the media since Woodley's time as champion.
