Jerry Lewis Telethon 2010

Once again, 84-year old actor Jerry Lewis is ready to host the telethon of the same name in order to raise money for and awareness of muscular dystrophy. Thus far, Jerry Lewis’ telethons have raised nearly $2.4 billion for the treatment of, as well as research for, muscular dystrophy; a disease which attacks muscle-controlling nerves and which can eventually cause death.

The 2010 Jerry Lewis Telethon will be the 45th telethon of its kind; as far as the expected earnings go for this years telethon: last year’s telethon raised nearly $60 million, and this year’s telethon is expected to raise even more.

Texas Tech Football Team Defeats SMU Football Team On NCAA Football Opening Week, 35-27

Texas Tech Football team, Red Raiders, was able to maintain its winning streak against the SMU Mustangs to 14 games starting on 1989. The game ended with the final score of 35-27. This football game was the second one which took place this September 05 which started at 3:30 PM ET. It was held at the Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock, Texas.
