Who is Yousef Taha?

Yousef Taha is considered as the steal of the 2012 PBA rookie draft, the deepest in the history of the Philippine Basketball Association. He stands at 6'8" who can play small forward, power forward and center positions. After Air21 Express drafted him at the second round number 11, he immediately proved to be both offensive and defensive force to reckon with. He loves to play run and gun as well. His talent is so valuable that he can match up well with the top centers in the league especially Greg Slaughter in 2013. He is a Filipino-Palestinian star player from Mapua Institute of Technology.

Smart Gilas 2 wins over South Korea in Jones Cup 2012

Gary David carried the scoring load in the final 2 minutes of the game to help Philippines Smart Gilas 2 in defeating South Korea, 82-79, in the 34th William Jones Cup in Taiwan to remain undefeated with three straight wins.

Their recent victims are Chinese Taipei B, 99-68, and Jordan, 88-78.

SEABA U18 champions Philippines survived a serious, severe and spirited Syrian rally to scrape through 61-60 in a needle Group C encounter on Thursday.

Philippines thus notched their second win in a row, and line up against China in the Group C decider, in a virtual repeat clash of the semifinal encounter between the two at last year’s FIBA Asia U16 Championship.
