Tornado Touches Down Near Downtown Dallas

A tornado touched down near Downtown Dallas Wednesday evening. The funnel could be clearly seen as it touched the ground and threw debris into the air at about 6:15 Wednesday evening.

The tornado heavily damaged a building in the 600 block of Mockingbird Lane, destroying part of one wall and the roof. At least one person was injured and taken to a hospital for treatment.
